Portuguese keeper Eduardo is set to
sign for Chelsea next week.
According to Record, the move is all but done,
and the footballer is only waiting for the
Champions League game against Red Bull
Salzburg on 24th of August to play his final match
for Dinamo Zagreb.
The veteran keeper is expected to secure a one-
year deal with Chelsea. He was close to joining
Portuguese side Sporting, however, Chelsea’s
offer is believed to be way more beautiful.
The record suggests that the signing is “blessed”
by Gianluca Sipnelli, Conte’s shot-stopper’s
coach who worked with Eduardo in his time at
Genoa.
But, it’s still uncertain if the Portuguese star is
arriving to be The Blues third shot-stopper or if
he’s taking the position of Asmir Begović as the
club’s Second-choice keeper.
In his career, Eduardo operated for Braga, Vitória
Setúbal, Beira-Mar, Genoa, Benfica, Istanbul BBSK
and Dinamo Zagreb.
With 35 games for the Portuguese national side,
the goalkeeper was member of the squad who
obtained the Euros this year.
